“In this episode of State of Skate, we are joined by prolific filmmaker David Hoffman, to discuss his rollerblading documentary "It's All Good" released in 1998. While much of the cultural landscape has changed since it's debut, "It's All Good" provides a holistic look into our sport's past and provides some valuable insights into the future of inline skating.
For context, "It's All Good" follows two teams: FR out of New York, and Senate out of California, as they prepare for the 1997 ASA Championships. Along the way, we get a glimpse into the daily lives of some of our sports early pioneers as they attempt to navigate the exciting yet treacherous landscape of professional rollerblading. Some notable names from the film include Arlo Eisenberg, Ryan Jacklone, Brooke Howard-Smith, David Ortega, Randy Spizer, Dustin Latimer, Kevin Gillan, Louie Zamora, Chris Edwards and more.
A special thanks to David Hoffman for taking the time to share his insights and experiences. Please consider visiting David's YouTube Channel, where he has amassed thousands of videos on virtually every subject imaginable.
I’m excited for 2020 and what it has in store for rollerblading, and if you want to be part of the comeback here’s how you can help.” - Butch Lehman/Roll Minnesota
