The triple OG himself, Mr. JSF, Erick Garcia has been making the transition over the years from the king of cab KGs and cess slides, to a professional photographer. After years of beating himself to a pulp on his skates, he needed to find a new outlet to grow in. He picked up the camera and started becoming the goto photographer for anything Bay Area.
He recently took the step into selling his prints. Look, honestly, anyone can shoot photos and share them out on Instagram, or post them to a Facebook and retitle themselves @SomeNamePhotography, but few will rival the work that Erick has done here. Being a skater himself, he understands the organic movement of a skater in motion. He knows when the exact moment to pull the shutter open is, and he works well with his subjects. He’s elevating himself to a class of his own.
