Through the creep of winter, the various crews and skaters of Amsterdam have been silently cooking up some goodness for us. Cavin Brinkman has been putting together his follow up video “HIBERNATE2” over the last several months. Featuring a star-studded cast of some of the greatest skating talent in Amsterdam, a few dabs of international flavor, and Pascal Tan to top it off. With Cavin behind the lens, you know this will be a piece we’ll keep coming back to.

Just like last year we went out on the streets to avoid the skateparks and our warm living rooms. We expanded our horizon and included Rotterdam and Eindhoven to our playgrounds.
Adapt rider Sem Croft and his room mate Sebastiaan van Wijk showed us around on the streets of 010: ROFFA.They joined a handful of sessions in Amsterdam when some international skaters were in town to sesh and visit Winterclash.

My friend Christian Delfino happened to be in town after the clash. You might know him from his beautiful photos of skaters and non blading work, so with camera in hand we went skating one evening before it rained down on us. Leaving us the second day with no skating but a good dinner.
Yuto Goto was at my house for four days for an upcoming project but rain stopped us from getting day clips so we where banned to some parking garages. Because I’ve got a few clips with Chad Hornish in a IKEA parking garage, it gave me the opportunity to make a full garage section for this episode of HIBERNATE.

Due to the wet days we had for some weeks my planned sessions in Eindhoven got washed away. For the last week of the winter i had 2/3 sessions planned in Eindhoven but than our country got all crazy around COVID-19. The south of The Netherlands was where the most cases where known so it kinda stopped me to go there. Luckily Jeroen Wullems came to the rescue and he and the Grindhoven boys went out with their facemasks and gloves for a few nights to get enough footage for a sweet part. Big shout out to GH!!!

COVID-19 cleared Amsterdam like never before. Scary, but it also gave us the opportunity to skate things we could never skate. So we decided to give it 1 more week of skating to see what it will bring us. That resulted with the last clip filmed by me on Wednesday, March 18th.
The whole crew went in and were super motivated. It was a blast to go out and lay on the cold floors to get this off the ground but I am happy spring is here now. Now we wait for this all to fly over and to get back to normal, until then enjoy our second installment of the HIBERNATE series. - Cavin Brinkman
